Visiting Yuma Proving Ground (YPG)

If you have never accessed YPG before, you will need to stop at the Visitor Control Center (VCC) before entering the installation.

What you need:

  • A REAL ID-compliant driver's license or ID
  • Vehicle registration
  • Proof of insurance
  • A valid reason for visiting or an authorized YPG sponsor

If you do not have a military ID or government/contractor CAC, YPG will conduct a background check before allowing you access. This normally takes about 15 minutes.

Where to go:
The Visitor Control Center is located at the Wahner Brooks Interpretive Display on Imperial Dam Road.
