Visitor Gate Access Information
Who can enter:
- Only individuals with official business or a verified sponsor can enter the installation. A valid “sponsor” is an active-duty service member or a federal employee with a Common Access Card (CAC). Contractors with a CAC cannot act as sponsors.
- If you do not have a military ID or CAC, you must undergo a background check at the Visitor Control Center (VCC). Required documentation:
- Valid driver’s license or state ID that is compliant with the Real ID Act.
- Vehicle registration.
- Proof of insurance.
Important note for ID compliance:
- As of August 31, 2023, YPG does not accept state-issued driver’s licenses or IDs that do not meet Real ID standards unless additional documents are shown.
- DoD civilian retiree cards are no longer issued or accepted. Retirees must use their Real ID-compliant driver’s license or state ID plus the SF-50 form for access.
